We all hope that the animals we know and love, both up close and from afar, will live to ripe old ages and slip away peacefully after a long life of love. One of the most bitter parts of loving animals is knowing that someday, like all of us, they must die. If you donate in person, in any amount, at Epcot or Disneys Animal Kingdom, Cast Members will often give you a special Disney Conservation button. You can donate online or in person when you visit the parks. If you would like to do something in honor of this little life, lost all too soon, you might consider making a donation to Disney Conservation, the organization that responsibly brings babies like this young zebra into the world, if even for a short time. Keepers chose the name Zarina because its Persian for golden one, fitting for a baby zebra born during Walt Disney Worlds 50th-anniversary celebration. Last October, Walt Disney World welcomed its newest Hartmanns mountain zebra foal to her mother Zoey, aptly named Zarina.
